Being able to experience a 360° aerial view has always been fascinating for me, especially when I’m exploring unfamiliar places for the first time. Having bought the DJI Mini 3 Pro a few days just before my photography/family trip to the “Land of Kangaroo”, I figured this will be a good travel drone as it’s very light (under 250g) and I could carry the whole set (the drone, remote controller and 3 batteries) in a small sling bag, which is very ideal for traveling.
At one of my driving road trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, we stopped by this town called Mount Gambier while driving from Portland to Kingston. One of the attraction here is the Blue Lake and Valley Lake. So, I flew my drone just high enough to capture these 2 beautiful lakes side by side in 360° aerial panorama. Here’s the 360° aerial view below of Mount Gambier. Click on the PLAY button below to start the 360° photo.
Here it is, Mount Gambier in its full glory of the day. You can clearly see the populated town on one side of the photo and the contrasting scenery of farmlands on the opposite side of it.
The blue lake apparently will change its color to steel grey in winter season and to cobalt blue during summer season… hence the name Blue Lake. Here’s a shot of it below.
There’s not much info about the Valley Lake though, as it is often overshadowed by its neighboring Blue Lake. Nonetheless, here’s a shot of it below.
Both of the lake photos above were extracted from the 360° photo. Yup, that’s how good the 360° image quality is. No doubt about it.
